Ashen Simian has released a new CD called ”New Horizons” RR 015

It´s rather more ambient than previous solo albums by A. Simian, but all the usual hallmarks are there.
The CD is housed in a beautiful 6-panel digipak, again designed by Kimmo Heikkilä of closetotheborder.com

Nemesis is compiling ideas for a new album due for the late Spring of 2014 in time for the Haltia gig. In the meantime, there is new solo material available. Ashen Simian has now his second solo album out and you can check out a little section of the title track at youtube. The album “Spinal Staircase” (RR 013) is again a bit more rhythmic stuff than the usual nemesis ambience, but not too much.

The CD is available here and as a digital download at Nemesis bandcamp. There´s a bonus track included in the bandcamp version and the download code for it as also included in the stylish 6-panel digipak CD-version (design again by closetotheborder.com). Enjoy!!!!

Nemesis kerää ideoita kevätkesän uutta levyä varten. Sillä välin on nyt tarjolla soolomateriaalia Ashen Simianin kakkoslevyn muodossa. Levy on kunnon CD 6-paneelisessa, tyylikkäässä digipakissa (design by closetotheborder.com) ja sisältää melkein tunnin upouutta sähkömusiikkia.  Tällä kertaa ei liikuta suoranaisen ambientin tai progen sfääreissä, vaan ote on rytmikkäämpi ja sähköisempi. Levy koostuu viidestä instrumentaaliraidasta, joiden tyyli vaihtelee otteeltaan eepisen 80-lukuhenkisen synttypopin ja ambientin kautta jopa psykedeelliseen teknoon. Käytössä on runsaasti synttyjä vanhoista 70-luvun analogeista aina ipad-syniin asti, joten eräänlainen soundihybridi eri aikakausista on tarjolla.

CD:ssä mukana myös latauskoodi, jolla voi ladata levyn bandcampista tiedostomuodossa ja saa samalla bonuksen eli nemesis-henkisen ambient-version levyn pitkästä nimiraidasta.
